The fact that the writers of Masters of the Universe: Revelation, Part 2saw fit to include these characters is a testament to their commitment to drawing from every of aspect of the He-Man mythology. Any modernization of the franchise could have won fan approval with nods to popular characters like Buzz-Off and Stratos. The fan in question was third-grader Richard Szponder, who appeared in a single scene, in heavy make-up, handing Skeletor his staff as he returned to Eternia from Earth. The only reason Pigboy exists is because of a contest, organized by toy manufacturer Mattel, that promised one lucky fan a role in the movie.

Pigboy is the most obscure of Skeletor's followers among the many Masters of the Universe characters, having only appeared in the 1987 Masters of the Universe live-action movie and having never had an action figure, due to the rights issues surrounding the movie. Goat Man was joined by Pigboy, whom Man-At-Arms described as " the bottom of the barrel" when it came to henchmen. He was not part of the original toy line, but a convention exclusive figure of Goat Man was released as part of the Masters of the Universe Classics line in 2014. Goat Man was another henchman who fought Teela and Andra in "Hope, For A Destination." Goat Man appeared in a single Masters of the Universe Golden Book, titled Secret of the Dragon's Egg.
